Nanaimo Yacht Services’ large on site boat repair facility allows us to offer a wide range of services for the boat owner including maintenance, repairs and new installations.  Our marine mechanics, with many years of qualified, professional experience, we can attend to all your yacht or boat repair needs. We also obtain parts and supplies for you at competitive prices and if it’s not available locally we’ll hunt a part down from elsewhere.

We have a 24 hour emergency breakdown service ready to assist you should you need help in the local area and can reach you using our tow boat or truck. The tow boat is also utilised to deliver boats to or from the travelift dock. See our Yacht Services Rates page for relevant charges.

Our highly skilled mechanics perform all types of mechanical and electrical installations including generators, thrusters, electronics, heating and air conditioning systems, plumbing systems and electrical systems, keels and thru-hulls. We install and align running gear including engines, shafts, cutlass bearings, struts and props.

We also carry out electrical and electronic modifications and upgrades to AC/DC power, navigation and radar systems, video, sound, SSB, battery/inverter systems, monitoring systems and helm controls.

If you need a mechanical survey prior to the purchase of a boat we can arrange for one of our experienced marine mechanics to visit and produce a report from as proven check-off list.

Much of the work we do at Stones Boatyard and Nanaimo Yacht Services is insurance related. Over the years, the local marine insurance companies have come to know and trust the quality of work we perform. This trust was earned through the development of a long-standing relationship founded on the assurance of professional work completed on time and within estimated budgets.
