Description

EXHAUST ELBOW HGE3520 FOR YANMAR ENGINES is an aftermarket replacement exhaust mixing elbow which fits Yanmar engines: 1GM, 2GM(F), 2GM20F, 2YM15, 3GM(F), 3GMD, 3HM, 3HMF, 3GM30, 3GM30F, 3YM20, 3YM30, 3YM30AE, and 3HM35F. The EXHAUST ELBOW HGE3520 FOR YANMAR ENGINES replaces OEM part numbers: 104070-13520, 104214-13521, 104214-13531, 127070-13520, 128370-13600, 128990-13520.

This is a cast iron exhaust elbow and fits with a mixing elbow joint (Yanmar part no. 104214-13580) to connect the elbow with the raw water inlet. It requires a 3/8” pipe thread elbow, and a replacement gasket.

General Installation Tips for Cast Iron Exhaust Systems

1. Clean and sand off all old gasket residues which may be on the engine body. 
2. Choose the correct riser gasket between the manifold and riser (consult Stones Boatyard for the correct item).
3. No gasket sealer is required on all metallic gaskets.
4. Torque down the bolts/nuts to 30-40lb-ft setting.
5. Warm up the engine. After the engine has cooled down, re-torque the bolts/nuts.
6. Always check and be aware of the colour of the engine oil before or after using the engine. Engine oil will have a creamy color if water is present in the oil.
