HURTH/ZF OIL FILTER 250-FK316940

Description

This HURTH/ZF OIL FILTER 250-FK316940 marine transmission filter kit consists of the filter and two O-rings. The HURTH/ZF OIL FILTER 250-FK316940 fits the following transmissions:

• Hurth Marine Transmission models: HSW450, HSW630, HSW800, and HSW850.
• ZF Marine Transmission models:  ZF45, ZF63, ZF80, and ZF85.

It replaces OEM filter: 463772, and Mercruiser filters: 35-815419 and 879194241

ZF recommends replacing the oil filter every 300 hours or 1 year, whichever comes first, and to replace the oil filter after the first 25 hours of operation on a new transmission.

• The oil level check must be done two minutes after turning off the engine.
• The correct oil level is between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick.
• After the initial filling the transmission. or after carrying out repairs, or changing the oil filter, run the engine and gearbox for about two minutes. Then recheck the oil level two minutes after turning the engine off.
